Materials

We only use precious metals in our production. Our products are available in two metal finishes; yellow gold vermeil and rhodium finished sterling silver 925. The stones we use are Cubic Zirconia. With these materials our jewellery falls into the category of demi-fine jewellery, marking the middle ground between high-end and high street.

Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil is a legal term designated to gold plated pieces of a certain standard. The main components of this are that the base material used is sterling silver 925 and that the gold plating is of a certain thickness.

In comparison to other fashion jewellery made with a base of non-precious metals such as brass or steel, and with only a very thin gold plating, pieces made of gold vermeil guarantee the customer that the pieces are of a higher quality.

With the right treatment jewellery made of gold vermeil can last, and sparkle, for years and makes for an excellent alternative for the creation of high-quality jewellery.

Rhodium finished sterling silver 925

Our silver pieces are made of rhodium plated sterling silver 925. Rhodium is a precious metal typically rarer and more valuable than gold. It has a shiny appearance and ensures a sparkly and durable product when plated on silver.

Cubic Zirconia

Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is a man-made crystal. CZ measures 8-8.5 out of 10 on Mohs Scale for measuring the relative hardness of gemstones. The hardness of a diamond measures 10 on the same scale, with other precious and semi-precious stones such as Emerald, Aquamarine and Topaz having about the same hardness as CZ.

CZ is thus a very durable stone, and combined with its shiny properties and availability in a range of colours it has become a favoured choice for a sparkly albeit an affordable style.

All of our jewellery is nickel free and allergy friendly.
